We are looking for a DevOps Engineer (m/f) for permanent employment for the next possible entry date.You are passionate about the latest, innovative technologies? As DevOps Engineer you can realize your visions with the help of “state-of-the-art” technologies, acting as interface between software developers and systems administrators in an awesome, inspiring team of like-minded professionals.

Your Tasks

  • Development and implementation of concepts for the automation and orchestration of complex systems
  • Ensuring the operation of IT applications and the cloud infrastructure with the aid of deployment, logging, monitoring, alerting and security
  • Working according to the principle of “infrastructure as code”

Your Qualifications

  • University degree in computer science or IT specialist training
  • Outstanding knowledge of the Linux server environment
  • Excellent knowledge of SCM (e.g. Git/SVN)
  • Excellent knowledge of programming and script languages (e.g. Bash, PowerShell Perl, Python )
  • Experience with orchestration tools (e.g. VMWare VSphere ESX/ESXi, VmWare vCloud Director, Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Experience in working with containers (KVM, LXC, OpenVZ, CoreOS Rocket, Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Experience with AWS
  • Experience with Puppet v4+
  • Experience with Jenkins CI or Gitlab CI/CD
  • Experience in automation and configuration management
  • High level of flexibility regarding and interest in new technologies
  • Ability to rapidly and successfully implement previously unknown technologies
  • Independent, take-charge attitude and keen teamwork skills
  • An excellent command of written and spoken English

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Completed training as a specialist in computer sciences
  • Linux (basic certification – e.g. LPCI-1 / LPCI-2)
  • Basic Network certification – e.g. CCNA Routing and Switching
  • Good knowledge of a programming language (Ruby, C/C++, Java)
  • Experience in software development
  • Knowledge of systems administration
